Use the calendar people already keep
The organizer creates an event and shares a link. Everyone else signs in with Google, and Tap In reads their free/busy blocks rather than event details. The organizer gets ranked times and a shared availability view.
One sentence can set up an event through Claude. The structured scheduling flow remains available for choosing the duration, days, and times directly.
Ranking the useful options
The ranking engine works from actual busy intervals, including the exact edges of calendar events. If a class ends at 11:50, that gap starts at 11:50. Suggestions favor more people available, then earlier days and convenient start times.
I built support for both one-time and weekly events, handling time zones and daylight saving changes. Recurring groups can tolerate missed weeks instead of requiring a perfect slot across every occurrence.
Close the loop
After choosing a time, the organizer gets a confirmation to share, with Google Calendar and .ics links. The group can put the result on their calendars without returning to the scheduling page.
Building the whole product meant treating the ranking, calendar permissions, and final handoff as parts of the same interaction: a good suggestion only helps if the group can actually use it.
